This group has been a ministry of St. Joe's for about 11 or 12 years.  Formerly known as the 40+ Singles group, the group officially changed names to Catholic Singles in order to open the group up to people of all ages. We try to offer social & spiritual activities to all singles who are interested in joining us. Most of the active members are in their 50's & 60's.

Monday, August 16th - Walk Meet down at The Quay parking lot towards the railroad tracks at 6:30 PM. We could walk along the river or go uptown for variety. This is a "No-Host" activity.

Friday, August 20th - Evening on the Row:  1867 Croquet, Grant House, 6:30 - 7:30 PM.  This is part of a weekly series which looks at life at the Vancouver Barracks.  There is no charge.  A quick history and demonstration of croquet.  Croquet was a new and exciting game in 1867.  Visitors can learn how to play alongside costumed staff and volunteers - just as the families at Vancouver Barracks would have done more than 140 years ago.  This is a "No-Host" activity.

Saturday, August 21st- Breakfast at Joe's Farm Place/Mrs. Joe's Kitchen located at 701 N.E. 112th Ave. French crepes and Italian frittatas are served. Meet there at 9 AM. This is a "No-Host" activity

Monday, August 23rd- WALK - Meet down at The Quay parking lot towards the railroad tracks at 6:30 PM. We could walk along the river or go uptown for variety. This is a "no-Host" activity".

Tuesday, August 24th -. Dinner at Pizzicato located at 1900 NE 162nd Ave, at 6:30 pm.  Traditional and gourmet pizzas, panini's, tasty appetizers and fresh specialty salads.  RSVP to John at 896-6782.

Friday, August 27th - Evening on the Row:  Veranda Soiree, Grant House, 6:30 - 7:30 PM.  This is part of a weekly series which looks at life at the Vancouver Barracks.  There is no charge.  A look at arts & entertainment through the years.  Costumed staff & volunteers recite poetry, do scenes from period dramas & other dramatic readings, and period music performed on the veranda.  This is a "No-Host" activity.

Friday, August 27th - Game Night at Ralph's house.  The activities begin at 7:00 pm.  Bring your favorite game & a snack to share.  Contact Ralph at 606-4512 for directions.

Sunday, August 29th - Wine & Jazz Festival at Esther Short Park. The festival begins on Friday 08/27/10 and continues through the weekend.  Let's get together Sunday afternoon and enjoy the music.  Hours are 11 AM - 9 PM.  This is a "No-Host activity.

Tuesday, August 31st - Dinner at the ABC Buffet, 11505 NE Fourth Plain, at 6:30 pm.  This restaurant features Chinese, American, Japanese and Asian cuisine.  RSVP to Ralph at 606-4512.

Friday, September 3rd - Evening on the Row: Barracks Tour, O.O. Howard House, 6:30 - 7:30 PM. This is part of a weekly series which looks at life at the Vancouver Barracks. There is no charge. Tour the O.O. Howard House at 750 Anderson St. & end at the Grant House Restaurant 1101 E. Evergreen Blvd. A park guide will lead the walk through the streets of the West Barracks. Topics include the St James Catholic Mission, the old Hudson's Bay Company cemetery, the post hospital & the 2011 transfer of Vancouver Barracks to the National Park Service. This is a "No-Host" activity.

Saturday, September 4th - Sing-A-Long - Come join and sing songs of the 60's and 70's. Bring a friend, meet new people. First Saturday of each month at Genealogy Library at 717 Grand Blvd. There is a potluck dinner that starts at 6 PM and the singing starts at 7 PM. Tuesday, September 7th - First Tuesday Dinner at Elmer's located at 7105 NE 40th St., East of Andresen. Meet at 6:30 PM. You can have breakfast, lunch or dinner fare any time of the day. RSVP John at 896-6782.

Friday, Saturday, Sunday, September 10th, 11th &12th - St Joseph's Sausage Fest - Come out and support St Joseph's Catholic Church. Fun for all the family. This is a "No-Host" activity.

Monday, September 13th - Walk - Meet at 6:30 PM in the north end of the Quay parking lot and enjoy a great walk and view with friends along the river or uptown. A "No-host" activity.

Tuesday, September 14th - Planning Meeting Join us at 6:30 PM in the John Paul II room in the Marian Hall at St Joseph Catholic Church on Andresen Rd. ALL MEMBERS are encouraged to attend. Bring your ideas for activities that the group can participate in. Contact John at 896-6782 with any questions.

Friday, September 17th - Slocum House production of "Southern Hospitality" This is chapter 3 in the ongoing saga of the Futelle Sisters. This time they are planning Fayro Days. Only problem ... no such thing. So, Rhonda, Lynn, Honey Raye, Twink, & Frankie must put it together just in time for the prospective Salsa Company to visit. Doors open at 7:30 PM, show starts at 8:00 PM. RSVP John at 896-6782.

Saturday, September 18th - Campfires and Candlelight Tour - From 3 PM to 10 PM. Stroll back in time & experience the night life of U S Army soldiers, Oregon Trail immigrants, and the residents of Fort Vancouver village. Once inside the Fort, visitors have the opportunity to observe live evening activities by campfires and candlelight. There is no charge. This is a "No-Host" Activity.

Sunday, September 19th - Knights of Columbus Breakfast in the Marian Hall after the 8 AM, 10 AM and 12 noon Masses. This is a "No-Host" activity.

Monday, September 20th - Walk Meet at 6:30 PM at the north end of the Quay parking lot and enjoy a great walk and view with friends along the river or uptown. This is a "No-host" activity.

Saturday, September 24th- Dinner at The Rock Wood Fired Pizza and Spirits located at 2420 Columbia House Blvd. at 6:30 PM. Pizza, burgers, salads, sandwiches and wraps. RSVP Randy at 921-6639.
