Hello! My name is Ian Salzman and I serve as the Pastoral Assistant for Social Concerns Ministry at St. Joseph’s. I joined the parish and started this position in October 2021 after moving here from Omaha, Nebraska. Before moving here, I served for eight months with AmeriCorps and for a year with Jesuit Volunteer Corps. I graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a degree in Political Science and a minor in Catholic Social Tradition. Since joining St. Joseph’s, I’ve been inspired by the generosity, kindness, and passion of parishioners, especially in their concern for those at the margins. If you have any questions or ideas for social outreach, please send me an email or give me a call!
